Bed & Breakfast in Boston
A Bed & Breakfast Reservation Service

30 years
Offering fine private home accommodations in Boston & surrounding areas.

Whether you are traveling to Boston for business or for pleasure, welcome! And be our guest.

From 1982-2000, Marcia Whittington published a B&B Booklet to match travelers needs with distinguished hosts and their wonderful homes. Now she offers it on this Web site.   Happy browsing!

Bed & Breakfast in private, hosted homes that provide a guest room and breakfast can be a refreshing, friendly way to stay.

Host Homes of Boston offers the advantage of exclusive city and suburban locations combined with the personal touch of New Englanders at home...and at their best.

Like our hosts, you have the quiet and comfort of a home base close to the lively cultural, education, medical, historic, business and vacation centers.

WHERE ARE THE HOMES?      In Boston (Back Bay, Copley Square, Charlestown, and Historic South End). A little bit west in Brookline, Newton and Cambridge near the subway lines. Also, a bit further west in Wellesley on the commuter train line.

All B&B homes--whether city or suburban, Colonial or Victorian--have a distinct New England character. We visit homes annually or as necessary.

WHAT ABOUT OUR HOSTS?      They share that “innkeeper spirit” but their backgrounds are diverse: executives, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, consultants, retirees. All take pride in the beauty and comfort of their homes. They respect your privacy with freedom to come and go. If you want tips on public transportation, driving, dining, shopping or special attractions, hosts are happy to lend an insider’s view. It’s the personal touch that can turn your stay into a memorable experience.

Our B&B homes are in the Greater Boston area. If you are driving, we recommend staying outside the City at homes with parking and quick & easy access into Boston or outlying attractions such as the ocean, Lexington/Concord, Plimouth Plantation and Sturbridge Village. The city of Boston is always alive & humming. We have the Boston Symphony & Pops, the Freedom Trail, Ballet & theatre, top museums, wonderful shops & restaurants. Let us share the Spirit of Massachusetts with you!
